Account 008 - Research in the middle of the jungle — YouTube from the CEC Library

I recount an astral projection experience that occurred on February 22, 1980. That day, I was lying down with no intention of projecting, but I suddenly felt a vibration in my body and found myself outside it. Initially, I remained above my physical body; soon, however, I moved above the house, observing the roof. During the projection, I rose to an altitude of about 300 meters—a common practice at the time because the buildings were low in the region where I lived. I then decided to travel into the middle of the Amazon rainforest to explore and conduct research. I also used to go to São Paulo or Egypt to discover new things. I calculated that I had traveled about 40 kilometers before reaching my intended destination.

There were not many houses in the jungle, and I was looking for something to study. As I descended, I noticed that the ground was covered with leaves that had fallen from the trees, forming a floor-like surface. After passing through this layer, I found another surface farther below, in a dark area because of the leaf cover. I continued descending and passed through another layer of leaves until I reached the dark, damp ground. There, I observed various creatures, such as spiders and snakes. One snake in particular caught my attention when it moved its head toward me, making me wonder whether it could perceive my presence.

I continued exploring beneath the layers of leaves until I reached a small forest stream—a small river with clear water, surrounded by vegetation, 1.5 to 2 meters wide and up to 1 meter deep. I was enchanted by the place, which appeared to be unexplored by people. The colors I saw differed from the usual ones but were nevertheless wonderful. I floated along the stream for about 200 meters before deciding to return. After about half an hour in the astral dimension, I began to ascend again, passing an immense tree until I reached an altitude of 300 meters. I returned home slowly because I wanted to fly with my arms outstretched. When I arrived, I saw the roof of the house and reentered my physical body. I think it was the first projection of the day; I made two more. I got out of bed, made several notes, and concluded the experience.
