About
St. Damian Monastery
What we truly want is to build with joy, and we are counting on you to add your own stone to this story!
Moisés EsagüiConceived by CEC founder Moisés Esagüi, St. Damian Monastery seeks to bring into our own time the beautiful message Francis of Assisi gave the world in 1200: building in stone by bringing people together, and bringing people together to build love.
We combine this idea with our understanding of spirituality to create a shared path of growth and self-knowledge, both individually and as a group.
Rebuilding St. Damian in Brazil is more than an architectural project. It is a collective undertaking that teaches us how building together depends on everyone’s ability to unite around a common purpose. It puts learning to relate to one another into practice.

Our purpose is
To bring people together for hands-on work across a wide range of activities.
To provide a place for spiritual practices such as bioenergies, yoga, clairvoyance and astral projection.
To provide a place for activities that promote enlightenment, such as courses, experiential workshops and talks.
Our headquarters
Since we began in 2005 we have completed many buildings and made the site greener, planting 30,000 trees. St. Damian Monastery is currently under construction — a very special moment in our history.
