Summary
Happiness is a state of deep inner tranquility that comes with complete inner freedom, in which common sense is the only law. Since evolution takes place through relationships, especially the relationship with oneself, this path involves an honest reassessment: acknowledging mistakes and suffering and letting go of lies and preconceived ideas that impose limits on oneself and others. This reassessment requires effort and an open heart to allow each person to be who they are. We find happiness when we practice love and become love.

Happiness is a state of deep inner tranquility. We live in a world of relationships, and our evolution takes place through them. The first and most important relationship is with ourselves, and, for those who believe in reincarnation, it may span all of our lives. It is essential to keep space for questioning, because each person must participate actively in this process.
We carry what we are in our life journey, being the heirs of ourselves. True happiness arises when we achieve total inner freedom, in which good sense is our only law. Ideally, we should free ourselves from laws, beliefs, rituals, and preconceived ideas about ourselves and about others. Many times we create internal prophecies and limit ourselves—initially by ourselves, then by the environment. The reverse also occurs: we impose these limitations on the environment, creating emotional pressure and laws externalized to others.
Happiness comes when we have an open heart, allowing others to be who they are and allowing ourselves to be who we really are, with the goal of growing, evolving, and reviewing ourselves. Lying to ourselves is unhealthy and does not bring happiness. If we can be sincere about who we are, without fear, recognizing our mistakes and our suffering, we begin a sincere review of ourselves. When this review extends to others, we begin to find the path of love, which is the best for everyone.
Happiness is found when we practice and become love. The inner review must be sincere, abandoning mythomania. Many times we lie to ourselves, we believe these lies, and we transfer them to others. The courage to be honest can expose us to losses, and these losses would not be very healthy for us. In order for the course of life to result in a happy encounter with oneself, effort is needed. Evolving is not easy, but it is gratifying.
