Summary
Moisés left his body to test whether a jumping spider would respond to his energy and intention. The spider responded to some movements by turning toward him but did not react to others, which gave him the impression that it sensed his presence. The experience was not scientific because it lacked a proper methodology, but it opened up new possibilities for exploring the world around us through astral projection. This tool contributes to personal growth and makes it possible to learn about spirituality without outsourcing it, but it should not be the purpose of life.

I have recounted some experiences I had, which greatly improved my life, in the sense of learning more about spirituality without having to outsource it. I believe that astral projection is a tool, but it should not be the meaning of our life. It takes strength and determination to follow this path, using it as a means of personal growth. The idea is not to outsource spirituality or what we are unable to see.
One of the experiences happened when I was very young, around the age of 12 or 13. I wanted to know whether, while out of the physical body, it would be possible to provoke some kind of reaction in insects or animals. At that time, I was afraid that, on approaching a reptile such as a snake, something might happen. I did not have enough knowledge and thought there could be some risk. Later, I found out that nothing could happen unless I somatized it through my emotional structure. I remember having gone to a specific place to see whether, on making some movement in the astral dimension, an insect would react.
A funny experience happened when I lived in the Parelheiros area. There was a spider on the wall, a jumping spider you could pick up by hand. I wanted to see its reaction, because it seemed very agile and electric. I decided to leave my body and try, with my energy and intention, to touch the jumping spider to see whether it would move or notice my presence. When I carried out the experience, I floated to the living room and approached slowly to perform the test. I had already planned the entire structure of the experience. However, as I approached, it came down along its thread and went off walking across the floor. I did not know whether my approach had caused that. I followed it and, as I approached, it changed direction. I thought it had noticed my presence.
I made another movement, but it did not respond. Right afterward, when I made a movement in another direction, it turned that way. It was a funny situation. This experience cannot be considered scientific, because I did not have an adequate methodology. I was only trying to find out what happened. I made several movements; it responded to some and not to others. When it did respond, it was in the direction where I was. I laughed a lot afterward, because I could not tell anyone what I was doing. I recorded the experience in detail, from leaving the body to the interaction with the jumping spider, so that I could use it in the future.
That experience was important to me, because I was testing new things. It was a beginning of something. Normally, when we do astral projections, we look for other meanings for our life. Often we want to leave the body to talk with a deceased relative or to see some place. However, I think that, when we do not have control of the astral vehicle, we end up trying to benefit ourselves in other ways. I also wanted to have experiences that would benefit me, such as floating, feeling energies, and taking journeys at a distance, at great speed. Over time, I found out that there are other interesting things around us that we can explore with this tool.
