Summary
Astral projection differs from lucid dreaming in that it involves leaving the body, dual consciousness, and the freedom to choose where to go. While dreams reflect desires and unconscious associations, astral projection allows events to be observed, recorded, and verified later. Moisés has hundreds of these notes and experienced precognitions during many of his astral projections.

How can you prove that astral projection is not merely a lucid dream? The lucid dream is a natural cerebral phenomenon proven by science, in which it is possible to be conscious in the middle of a dream. How can you guarantee that astral projection is not merely that phenomenon? Could you report a physical proof of projection? That is an interesting question. Spiritual experiences are easier to prove when people are open to them and accompany someone who can produce that kind of phenomenon. There are many astral projectors who report those experiences.
Although it may seem abstract, a dream can be very clear. When you sleep, you enter a state recognized by science: rapid eye movement (REM), the moment in which you are accessible to hypnosis and to astral projection. Astral projection provides an absolute freedom, unlike a dream, in which you do not control the plot. In a dream, residues of the day or fears appear; whereas in astral projection, you feel the processes of leaving the body, dual consciousness, and you see things that you would not see in dreams.
You are the actor of the story: your will commands the place that you visit. In astral projection, it is possible to visit locations, to see events happening, and, on returning, to make notes in order to verify them later; I have many hundreds of notes. In my accounts of astral projection, in many of them I made precognitions. I have projected astrally since age seven and practiced daily to avoid losing the ability. A dream does not bring such precise information, because it is a reflection of our desires and unconscious associations. Astral projection experiences are real, using a vehicle different from the physical one—such as the astral or the mental one—allowing experiences in distinct dimensions.
