Dealing with neediness and loss requires recognizing the search for others' energy and honestly reviewing relationships, mistakes, and differences.

Summary

Neediness is the need for someone else's consciential energies. When this need is not met internally, it leads to energy theft through coupling, which goes against spiritual evolution. Astral projection with a high degree of lucidity transforms life through firsthand experiences beyond the physical body. Seeking these experiences requires effort. When it comes to losses within the family, a child leaving home does not break the bond. Marital separation, however, requires honestly reassessing both partners' behavior and their affection for one another, as well as evaluating whether their differences could have been reconciled, without deceiving oneself out of neediness. Grief that lasts beyond about six months becomes pathological.

Let us go straight to the questions. Before, I did not notice my neediness. I did not feel the lack of a partner, but, after listening to one of your CDs, I identified several traits of neediness in myself, which are not limited to being with someone. I noticed behaviors such as talking nonstop, without giving the other person room. This reflects a mechanism for compensating for energies we lack. Wanting recognition, overeating, and other attitudes reveal that we do not know who we are, because we do not know human behavior and were never guided in that regard. Could you explain how neediness works and how we can overcome it? This will be useful for everyone.

Understanding this is crucial, because following our neediness goes against our spiritual evolution. Neediness is the lack of and the need for another person's consciential energies. When we cannot meet those needs internally, we end up vampirizing the energies of people, of living beings, and of the environment around us. People with high neediness can even break physical objects, as in the story of the "seca-pimenteira," in which plants wither in someone's presence.

This process occurs without our noticing it, but it is real. Needy people steal energy, destabilizing the environment. This happens by means of energetic coupling with the environment or with people. For example, talking too much is a common technique of energy theft, especially by using negative situations that are easily understood. Talking about misfortunes keeps the other person in a state of low consciousness, making energy theft easier. When we talk about elevated subjects, the other person has to raise their consciousness, which requires effort. Without effort, there is pleasure, as Freud discussed regarding pleasure and displeasure. In everyday life, it is easier to follow instincts, which leads to energy depletion.

Other ways of stealing energy include holding attention with objects. Attention is energy, and when you focus on something, you lose energy. One example is watching people play a game with small balls on a table set up along 24 de Maio Street in downtown São Paulo, where the audience's attention is drained. This causes tiredness and weakness, not only from standing, but from the energy exchange.

Every interaction involves an energy exchange or energy loss. This subject is vast. Astral projection, from my point of view, is an essential tool for people's growth. Our life must not be limited to the physical body; we need to see beyond, to explore other dimensions. This search cannot be outsourced; it has to be carried out through our own experiences, which requires effort. With dedication and commitment, we can obtain more information than through books and spiritual media alone. Personal experiences transform our life. If you achieve an astral projection with high lucidity, your life really changes.

On dealing with losses: you mentioned that your husband separated three and a half months ago and that your son is going to live away from home starting in January to attend college. The emptiness you feel is unbearable. I understand that the suffering of loss is hard. I do not know the circumstances, but I suggest reflecting on how it all happened. Your son is still your son, even living away from home. As for your partner, review aspects of your personality and of his. Relationships are transactions of adjustments between two people, and they require clarity in order to reach happiness.

It is important to give room and to invest in the relationship, managing the emotional intricacies with intelligence and common goals. I believe our efforts always result in something. Grief normally lasts about six months; if your grief goes beyond that, you are entering a pathological state. Review your life, identify mistakes honestly, such as aggressiveness or passivity. Relationships begin with words, not with sexuality. Assess whether your actions were balanced. It is important to analyze the behavior of both people and whether the differences were reconcilable. It may be that there was no sincere affection and true love. Do not deceive yourself with your neediness. Laying on of hands benefits people with difficult illnesses or emotional problems.
