Summary

Learning about human behavior helps improve your relationships with yourself and others, which are essential to growth and happiness. The course covers family, romantic, and workplace relationships, as well as how to treat others with respect and affection. Experiences leave their mark, and emotions influence even those who consider themselves rational. Understanding that most people live in emotional reactivity improves daily relationships, and reexamining yourself and facing emotional threats, which are greater than real ones, ease psychological charges; the more knowledge, the less suffering. This learning brings behavior and spirituality together in a practical way, without instilling fear.

Over the course of several days, we will explore how we relate to others and, first of all, how we relate to ourselves. Human relationships are essential to our growth and happiness. No one can make progress in life without learning to relate to others and to share the space that is the Earth. We have created many limitations: borders between countries and states, social barriers, discrimination based on race, color, creed, and religion. These barriers make relating difficult, in addition to the linguistic differences we ourselves created. The Earth has a diversity of languages, which requires effort to overcome that barrier, even with common things that have different meanings in each culture.

It is important to learn other languages and also universal languages, such as music and painting, which are forms of connection between peoples. Mathematics is also a language common to everyone. We must create a universal space for relationships, begun through knowledge, searching, and effort. Learning about human behavior helps us understand our emotional processes and relate better to those around us.

We begin with family members, our first contact: mother, father, family. We will explore the difficulties in family relationships and in the workplace, where things do not always flow well. We will also address the differences between friends and colleagues, and the importance of the affective side of our lives, learning to treat others with respect and affection. This approach will integrate behavior and spirituality, helping us understand how certain behaviors influence our life. We will analyze how these behaviors affect our affective, sexual, and family life.

Our goal is to offer a review of life, helping to identify more productive paths and to understand our emotional and spiritual constitution. Life experiences, positive or negative, leave marks, and it is important to discover what makes us happy or unhappy in order to choose the best path. Human emotionality is crucial: even those who consider themselves rational are influenced by emotions.

With a population of 7 billion, most people (80% to 90%) live in reactive emotional conditions. Only a small percentage have emotional stability, able to react with balance to stimuli and news. Living alongside emotionally stable and productive people is not simple, because we are surrounded by a sea of reactivity. Understanding this reality helps us improve our daily relationships.

We want the learning to be practical, useful, and applicable in everyday life. I do not believe that we learn from a distant spirituality in which we cannot change anything and which instills fear in us. The spirituality we are taught often carries an unbearable load of fear. For example, they say we cannot review our past reincarnations. But why not? We have already done everything imaginable. They say we cannot see this today because it will be difficult for us.

I believe it is better to have courage and to overcome everything around us in order to be happy. All learning, regardless of its level, is valuable and brings us happiness. The more knowledge we acquire, the less we suffer and the greater our inner capacity to resolve our issues. We must walk this path considering that fear will not stop us. We need to review ourselves and face emotional threats, which are greater than real ones. Let us work on and understand these threats in order to dissipate the weights and loads of our psychic and emotional apparatus, which tire us during the day or after a night's sleep.

In this way, we will have a happier, healthier, and more coherent life. This is an excellent path for those who seek happiness. I see the world as a group of people who want to grow and evolve. Although we have gone through countless phases of humanity, we have not evolved individually as much as we could have. We created beliefs, preconceived ideas, and rituals that prevented us from improving more quickly. I believe our script of life was not pre-established; we built it over the course of history. Now, with such a large population on Earth, it is important that we pause, reflect, and follow a better path. A better path is always one in which we relate to others in the best way possible.
