Summary
Breaking free from spiritual harassment can bring loneliness, as the person has grown accustomed to that invisible presence. A codependent relationship develops: the harasser needs the person and gains energy, while the person has companionship and also ends up needing the harasser, even if unconsciously. Neediness encourages a degree of acceptance of this relationship, which can become a necessity for survival even without providing growth or happiness. By making room for a harassing consciousness, the person wastes time and their life stops moving forward, with professional, social, and emotional consequences.

If you rid yourself of spiritual harassment, you may feel loneliness. This may seem contradictory, since we wish to rid ourselves of spiritual harassment, because it does not contribute positively. Spiritual harassment is similar to physical harassment: the entity is constantly calling for you, often making suggestions, draining energy, and causing discomfort. However, there is the aspect of loneliness. With a harasser beside you, you have company. It may seem illogical, but we become accustomed to living with everything around us, including spiritual harassment. The harasser becomes an invisible companion, creating a state of codependency.
The harasser needs you, but you also end up needing them, even if unconsciously. This codependency generates invisible emotions, typical of those who are in this state. One side obtains gains by using your energy, while the other has the company. The human being, with their neediness, seeks to have someone alongside them. Living alone is a strong decision, often religious, based on deep beliefs. Generally we need someone. This need can lead to a certain acceptance of the harassment, even if unconscious. Many people state that they do not want harassment, but I believe the vast majority become accustomed to the invisible presence, which, although not seen, is felt.
Having a harasser around means having company, and this implies learning to live with and adapt to a new form of relationship. The relationship with the harasser can become a survival need. Some people prefer to live with negative situations, because that is how they learned, even if those situations do not provide growth or happiness. It is important to review our life in order to understand that, by feeding a spiritual harasser with our difficulties, we are wasting time.
When someone is "hanging" on you, your life does not advance. This affects both the professional aspect and social and affective relationships, because you cede space to a harassing consciousness that does not want to lose its place. It is crucial to recognize the importance of this factor and to consider the loss of time caused by the presence of a limiting consciousness alongside us.
