Summary

Astral projection is the manifestation of consciousness in the astral vehicle outside the physical body. In this state, vision can vary depending on fears and emotional charges. During a lucid projection, Moisés felt a weight on his chest, heard a scream, and saw spirits at an ancestral altar. As he observed a spirit who had asked for food, he realized that the need to eat indicated a primitive condition. The experience revealed that bodily needs, such as eating solid food and breathing, could be disregarded.

What is astral projection? Normally, people define astral projection as the exit of the astral body from the physical body, or the decoincidence between the two. However, that definition may not be entirely coherent. It is important to understand that we have the physical body, the astral body, and the mental body, which is inside the other two. There are three vehicles, one inside the other, and consciousness manifests in one of them.

Astral projection occurs when consciousness moves into the astral body. In that state, it is possible to begin having clairvoyance and to see the astral world. With the astral vehicle, it is possible to go anywhere. Astral projection is characterized by consciousness being in the astral vehicle outside the physical body. Although other explanations may exist, astral projection produces specific sensations when you leave the body.

When leaving the body, vision can vary according to emotional charges and fears. Facing the unknown outside the body can be challenging. In one experience, I felt an immense weight on my chest, like a bag of cement, while I was leaving my body. I heard a loud scream and realized that there was an ancestor altar in the house, where spirits were talking at 11 p.m. I left my body and floated to the altar, observing the gathered spirits.

I called my mother, who was in the spiritual body, and showed her what was happening. It was confirmed that this happened every night. The ability to see spirits and to do astral projections may be a skill that is not shared with everyone. After her death, my father wanted to learn astral projection to communicate with her. Now he is also on the other side, dealing with his own issues.

That experience was a lucid astral projection. The Japanese altar had food and drink for the ancestors, such as sake. Adapting to the new environment, beans, rice, and even cachaça were placed there. A spirit asked for a pork chop, and a piece of it was placed on the altar. Watching the spirit come closer, I realized that, if it needed to eat, it was in a primitive condition. Lucid astral projection reveals how the body has needs that could be disregarded, such as eating solid food and breathing. These experiences show the complexity and the possibilities of astral projection.
