On March 5, 1980, I experienced an astral projection in a place that resembled the Amazon jungle, filled with trees, water, and flowers. About 20 seconds after lying down, I left my body and rose to an altitude of approximately 300 meters. I decided to project toward the Amazon jungle, an ideal place for this kind of experience. As I headed toward the Amazon River, I passed a road with several houses and, at a certain point, flew over the river. I wanted to touch the water, so I ran my hands and feet through it while moving at an estimated speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour.

As I passed the Tropical Hotel, I admired its beauty while continuing to float. I felt safe and could look around without fear of colliding with anything. I continued toward the forest, marveling at the experience of traveling at high speed. I reached a small beach with beautiful sand, where I floated for a while, appreciating the moment. I dove into the ground—a mixture of sand and earth—and then went to the riverbank, emerging again. This experience, impossible to accomplish in a physical body, was fascinating.

I rose again and decided to dive forcefully into the water, exploring the riverbed and continuing about 100 meters below it. I noticed the difference in temperature between the water and the earth: the earth seemed warmer. I repeated the dive two or three more times, marveling at the freedom provided by the astral body. After the last dive, I floated at an altitude of about 100 meters and decided to return. I followed the river, passed the Tropical Hotel again, and returned home in an instant. When I arrived, I observed the surroundings with a feeling of happiness because vision and sensations are heightened in the astral body. I descended, reentered my physical body, and recorded the experience in writing—it still impressed me in 2020, even after so many years.
