Summary
Chakras take in and exteriorize energy through exchanges with the environment. Sleep promotes revitalization by reducing interference from the physical body, while contact with people who have less energy or denser energies can be draining. The most active chakra corresponds to the level of consciousness: emotional reactions predominate below the heart chakra; from that chakra onward, feeling and continuity in action emerge. Chakras cannot be turned off, although emotional buildup can hinder their functioning. Anxiety arises when emotional processes accelerate energies beyond the person's ideal rhythm.

Chakras are funnel-shaped energetic centers. If you could see them through clairvoyance, you would notice that they exhibit an apparently circular movement that actually corresponds to the energetic frequencies of the chakra in operation. These frequencies are activated, allowing the chakra to capture more energy or exteriorize it. For purposes of study, we define seven chakras, with no connection to mysticism: the crown, frontal, laryngeal, heart, navel, spleen, and sex chakras. We consider these seven a foundation. We also distinguish afferent and efferent chakras: some exteriorize more energy than they capture, while others capture more than they exteriorize.
Chakras are energetic fields or vortices that make our communication and balance with the environment possible. They also capture energy, which vitalizes us. While the physical body is active, consciousness remains within it. Consciousness has no relationship with spirit; what you are is consciousness, an energetic configuration that carries out all this work. However, consciousness exists without the physical vehicle. When you are in the physical body, the chakras' capacity to absorb energy decreases because the physical body is a very dense energy and blocks everything nearby, including the spirit.
At night, when you lie down and disable the physical body, the etheric body, the etheric double, and the psychosomatic body (astral body) move away from the physical body's dense energies and have much greater energy circulation. The chakras spin at extremely high speed because they are not constrained by the physical body. As a result, you capture much more energy and your body will be more revitalized.
You may perceive chakra activity when you enter a particular environment and experience difficulty, because the chakras capture all energies, both the immanent energies and the emotional energies in the environment. Imagine that you are in a public place: you leave home after bathing, perfectly vitalized, enter the subway, and feel devitalized when you leave. It depends on the people you were near. If someone has little energy or energies denser than yours, they steal your energy and you leave vampirized.
The same thing will happen in all public places. Some places have better energy, while others have less energy. If you enter a shopping mall, you will lose some energy. But if you enter a government public service office, you will notice that you may lose even more. It is a matter of the neediness of the people in the environment.
Our consciousness is always connected with the chakra that is most active in our energetic field. Thus, the consciousness of a primitive person is connected with the base chakra, whose activity is very dense; therefore, that person's energetic production is also dense. Someone who operates from the base chakra has many daydreams; the person's sexuality is very instinctive, and they are unable, for example, to show affection because they are truly instinctive, almost animalistic. They exhibit a great deal of negative expansion. Their activity does not produce greater expansion in any way and is always very limited. As a person develops consciousness in the other chakras, they begin to have different activities.
A person who manages to reach the heart chakra can maintain continuity in their actions and attain a much better level of consciousness. We are an energetic compound, and according to the level, quality, and density of the energy we work with, we interact with the environment. Some people are very mild, while others are extremely dense and aggressive. When you approach them, you feel a response in your own physical body: a turbulent person may cause cramps or a headache. When you are dense, the spiritual companions you have are also very dense.
Sometimes people come to me and say, "A young man approached me, and I even felt it in my genitals. I think I am in love." No, you are not in love; you are making a very shortsighted mistake. You do not simply approach a person and have them produce something like that in you. The process of a relationship is a process of getting to know someone, and it is much longer; we need to have discernment. When this happens, you can be certain that the person has a very low chakra level, as do you, because if they managed to reach you through the base chakra, that is because you are at that level. This is intensified by spiritual consciousnesses and the spirits nearby because they need energy. For them, then, it is easy to draw you into the pleasure of this dense energetic exchange.
A person who is at a higher chakra has no desire, fear, or anger. Our emotional chakras are below the heart chakra; they are chakras of instinctive reaction to environmental stimuli. Thus, you react to the environment when you are conscious at this level. When at a higher level, a person simply does not react and only observes because they do not need to respond to an emotional environment.
The number of people at this level is quite low. At least 80% of our planet's population has a very heavy emotional condition. Of that 80%, 60% are at the base chakra. People at the higher chakras do not have this type of emotion: desire, fear, and anger. Do not confuse this. Here, you may replace the word feeling with emotion. Feeling has nothing to do with emotion; feeling can only be perceived from the heart chakra onward. It is another matter, a much broader perception of everything and of life, as well as a condition that allows a person to do things with continuity.
There is no switch for turning off a chakra. You work with all the chakras all the time. What may happen is that one chakra has greater difficulty processing energies. This can occur because of emotional accumulations. Each chakra has a certain number of energetic frequencies that it uses, processing particular environmental and physical energies. Some chakras work better with immanent energies, for example the energies of nature, while others work better with denser energies, such as physical things, touch, and embraces.
They cannot be turned off. You may not feel anguish, hunger, or anxiety, but that is not the way to achieve it. Hunger is the physical body. Anxiety and anguish are emotional components. Each of these items is connected with a chakra. You cannot, for example, be hungry and stop the spleen chakra. Anguish lies in the relationship between the navel chakra and the heart chakra. Thus, you cannot stop anguish because you cannot stop the heart chakra. If you stop it, you are already dead. The same applies to anxiety.
Every human being has an ideal operating speed. Your energies operate at a particular speed, and you should work at that same speed. If you have emotional processes that have caused your energies to accelerate, you will be operating above your normal processing rate, which generates anxiety.
