Summary
Clairvoyance is not a gift, but a skill developed through knowledge, techniques, and ongoing practice. Perception can be weak at first and broaden with practice. Feeling is the primary form of perception, superior to sight and hearing. Energy blocks can result from thoughts, attitudes, emotions, or nearby spiritual consciousnesses. The laying on of hands gets energies flowing, and its effect depends on how the block formed and the skill of the person performing it. The recipient also needs to be relaxed and want to free themselves. Understanding spirituality requires enlightenment and applying what has been learned in everyday life.

A listener asks: "I have always heard that clairvoyance is a gift. I have never had experiences of seeing spirits, but I would very much like to be able to. Is it possible for those who do not have this ability to develop this type of mediumship? If so, what would I have to do?" I do not see these things as a gift. I do not believe, for example, that a person has a paranormal faculty, a paranormal ability, and that it is a gift. It is a process of personal development. Some people manage to develop over the course of several reincarnations, but it is not a gift. Otherwise, our entire evolution here would make no sense.
There are levels of clairvoyance; some people have greater or lesser perception. For example, one perceives figures out of the corner of one's eye, and peripheral perception may suddenly make it possible to see a figure. Are there people who can see spirits? Yes. Are there people who can see the future? Yes. Are there people who can see images of the past? Yes, there are. But all of that is related to several factors.
I think everyone can develop the skill; it is a matter of learning the techniques and having knowledge, because the more you know about something, the clearer your perception of it becomes. If you look—would you like to see something interesting? Take a look at a Monet painting. If you look at a Monet painting, you will say, "Wow, this painting is beautiful." You can say that without understanding much about painting because he put feeling into what he was doing. And then you picked up on the feeling. Now, if you understand painting, you will see many more things than simply finding the painting beautiful. In fact, it will give you certain sensations, and you will practically feel what Monet felt when he made the painting.
As you know, our greatest perception is feeling, which is superior to sight, hearing, and everything else. It is the best and greatest way to perceive and understand things. When you observe a person, you feel that they are good, which is different from simply looking. This type of perception can vary from person to person, but it can be developed; it takes work.
The person will have perception and will feel that they can go further than that. Our initial perception may be very weak. You say, "Wow, is that all I managed to do?" Later, over time, you will say, "I can already see more things." You will understand how a person's entire process works. If you observe yourself or another person, even if you fix your gaze, without knowing certain techniques you will have no perception and will not know what to observe. There is the person's etheric double, aura, and chakras, which, when developed, will make it possible to see better. You can continue working on that.
There are specific techniques that involve all the related subjects and lead us to have greater perception. I often hear you talk about the laying on of hands. Knowing that we have difficulty dealing with the spiritual world because of the various blocks we acquire, I wondered whether, by performing the laying on of hands, for example on the eyes, we would remove at least some of these blocks and whether that would help us see the spiritual reality around us. Does what I thought make sense?
Let me explain what happens with the laying on of hands. Everything is energy. In fact, our energies eventually become blocked. If, for example, you have a very rigid personality trait, your energies become blocked within you. Your blocks—the word block says it all—indicate that you are holding on to something. This is in some chakra, in some part of your spiritual body, and will appear in your physical body later.
When you perform the laying on of hands, you circulate the energies. This depends on the person performing the laying on of hands and the person receiving it, as well as how that person formed the block. It is very important to know that, when receiving the laying on of hands, you need to be very relaxed and genuinely want to move the energies, freeing yourself from what prevents them from moving. The person performing the laying on of hands also needs to know how to work with energies; it is not enough simply to place a hand. The blocks that appear may be energy blocks caused by the densification of energies in a certain area, which may be caused by ourselves through our thoughts, attitudes, and emotions, but they may also be caused, for example, by spiritual consciousnesses who are close to us.
If you have a physical difficulty, there may be a spirit near you with the same difficulty, one that you attract. This occurs because you truly want to attract it. The illnesses we have are not like this: "I have an illness, but I do not want it." Most people who have some type of illness desire that illness on some level; they do not want to get rid of it, and you can be certain of that. A person wants the illness at the conscious or unconscious level of behavior because they use it in some way. No one on this planet has something that does not provide them with a secondary gain; we are always seeking a secondary gain.
When you feel some kind of pain, you can be certain that you caused it or allowed someone to inflict it on you. Would that help us see this spiritual reality? What allows us to better understand the world, life, and spirituality is enlightenment, combined with a personal effort to acquire it, accept it, and put it into practice in daily life.
There is no point in learning things that are not even minimally useful. You have to learn and put what you learn into practice, and doing so only once is not enough. If you learn hypnosis, that is fine, but you do not immediately become a hypnologist; you have to practice hypnosis for a long time until you become competent. You do not complete medical school and immediately become a physician; you have to practice. How many people take some course and then forget everything or lose the skill? You earn a degree in psychology, spend ten years without practicing or reading anything, and then decide to practice psychology.
You will practice and devote your energies to it so that you can truly improve at every moment. It is a matter of work. I do not see anything as a matter of gift; it truly is a matter of work. If you take a great painter, you can be certain that the person dedicated themselves to it; if you take an illustrator or a great physician, you can be certain that they work hard. It is not something that happens out of nowhere: the person practices and works a great deal in order to succeed.
One of the subjects I have heard about several times is how to discover past lives through facial clairvoyance. Moisés: "That is interesting." But I had a question: through these exercises, how can I know whether the people I see are me and not, for example, some spirit accompanying me? The person does the recommended exercises and wants to know whether what they are seeing is themselves, or whether they are seeing their past lives or spirits accompanying them.
I have performed these exercises a few times and found them very interesting. At the study center, a team practices clairvoyance. Moisés: "How will I know whether they are spirits beside me or my past lives?"
