How to Avoid the Loss of Energy

Summary

The loss of consciential energy, including in unbalanced family environments, can cause sadness and depression depending on how much is lost and how long the loss continues. To replenish our energy, it is important to have an honest awareness of ourselves and our surroundings. Bathing cleanses the etheric double; the immanent energy of nature, breathing fresh air, and light exercise help energy circulate. During sleep, the natural detachment of the astral body revitalizes us, but emotional tension can prevent the necessary relaxation. Knowing who we really are requires openness to questioning and a willingness to set the ego aside.

Depletion of consciential energy can leave a person sad, melancholy, and even depressive, depending on the amount of energy lost and on the length of time over which that loss occurs. That can happen anywhere, especially at home, if the family is dysfunctional—with fights, aggressiveness, or passivity. Passive people tend to steal energy. An out-of-balance environment, where each person believes in something different, can also destabilize the place energetically.

In order to capture energy and feel more vitalized and happy, it is important to have awareness of yourself and of what is around you, with sincerity. There are simple resources for revitalization, such as bathing. The water cleanses the etheric double, removing buildups in the chakras and providing a temporary sensation of well-being. During the bath, the frequencies of the chakras adjust, improving internal and external contact and relationships.

Another form of revitalization is being in nature. The immanent energy of the trees and of the earth circulates in you, revitalizing you. Bathing in the sea, for example, does not work only because of the water, but because the water cools the etheric double, which links the physical body to the spiritual one. The etheric double is a place of recovery of energies, transferring them to the physical and spiritual bodies.

Breathing is also important, especially in places with nature and clean air, where it is possible to move and vitalize the chakras. Breathing in crowded environments, such as the subway, is not effective, because you absorb energies that are not yours. As a last resort, breathing still moves the energies a little, but it is better to be in a natural and peaceful place. Taking care of nature is fundamental so that it takes care of us. Trees process immanent energies without encoding them emotionally, unlike humans. Walks or light runs are beneficial, because they help to circulate the energies and to cleanse the spiritual and physical body of the toxins and emotional charges accumulated during the day. Running too much can harm the body and the joints.

Physical exercises in general help to circulate the energies of the etheric double and to move all the spiritual vehicles. That is healthy and can be done in a continuous and slow way, producing positive results for life. When going to sleep, the ideal is to become vitalized. Astral-body detachment, which occurs naturally at night, allows the circulation of energies and revitalization. That results in waking up healthier and more ready for the next day. However, emotional tension often prevents the relaxation necessary for that detachment. Absolute relaxation, which implies leaving the physical body, is healthy, although it is often feared.

It is fundamental to be open to questioning. The main idea is to set the ego aside so that we can learn who we really are.
