Masturbation is not a sin or something bad in itself: the problem is dependence, and sex practiced with common sense is not problematic.

Summary

Masturbation is not a sin or bad in itself, but dependence can cause emotional or spiritual problems. Excess keeps consciousness at the level of the base chakra, and neediness favors connections with spiritual consciousnesses at that level, which can hinder relationships. Those who are not dependent are probably not under this influence; with common sense, sexuality can be positive and productive, depending on the level of consciousness. Maturing at each stage of life involves self-discovery and self-evaluation, as well as nurturing productive behaviors, contributing, and respecting others.

That "Spiritual Blunders: Masturbation" was really funny. Any practice carried out with dependence can cause emotional or spiritual problems. When we are young and have no way to express our physical needs, we end up resorting to masturbation—especially when influenced by information that intensifies that need. At no point did I say that masturbation is a sin or something bad.

I emphasize that, when someone masturbates, most of the Earth’s population, which is very primitive and has its consciousness below the heart chakra, links to whoever is practicing the excitation of the base chakra. Everyone has the right to live as they wish. When someone exercises sexually in excess, their consciousness remains at that level. Our neediness manifests more easily in the emotional chakras, facilitating the connection with spiritual consciousnesses of that level—which can bring difficulties in personal, professional, and social relationships.

Common sense is necessary. There is a difference between masturbating three or four times a day, or every day, and once or twice a month. Those who are not dependent are probably not influenced by spiritual consciousnesses that encourage this behavior. Sex, when practiced with common sense, is not problematic. Sexuality can be positive and productive, depending on our level of consciousness. Each person has their own path of self-discovery and self-evaluation in order to grow. Without this, we can reach 60 or 70 years of age as immature as in childhood—which is not evolution.

For young people who do not want to get involved with just anyone, it is important to use the available resources with common sense. We should not feed unproductive behaviors. Sexuality and other behaviors must be productive. One cannot feed violence and expect peace, or passivity and expect initiative. Hurt and hatred also do not bring good results. Every aspect of our humanity must be nourished correctly. Life is a sequence of situations that teach us to be better, not worse.

If we remain stuck in our childish needs and desires, we do not grow or take on the appropriate roles in each phase of life. We must mature at each stage. This is not only spirituality; it is human behavior that affects everything we are. What matters is trying to contribute and to respect everyone, seeking a path of peace and of making the most of life. I may be wrong, but this is my view.
