Summary

Procrastination stems from fear, laziness, and a lack of enlightenment: putting off tasks avoids immediate distress but allows unfinished tasks and tension to build up, harming health and relationships. This habit can be imitated within the family and recurs among nearby spirits who retain behaviors from physical life. Reexamining habits and seeking guidance can help people live better. Understanding life is part of happiness, which is continuous, while euphoria is fleeting. Enjoyable work and contact with nature promote a healthy life, but the environment must be preserved to maintain the planet's balance.

I am always talking about astral projection because the direction of my life was completely shaped by the fact that I managed to experience lucid astral projections and gain better knowledge of spirituality. My parents had a very positive influence on my life. My father was extremely upright, honest, and proper, and my mother had a very well-defined stance as a woman, which was very good for me. In the end, I discovered that she possessed a high capacity for spiritual perception. This was also reflected in me because I was born into this family and was already following a path. The family was the little corner I found where I could continue what I had already been doing. My brother, however, has a different perception and followed another path.

In any event, our life is directed from the beginning by the things that happened: some better, others worse. If the better things occurred in greater number, in a higher percentage, you end up being able to constitute your life along a path that may be better. If they were very bad, you may need to make a greater effort to reach certain places or may also become very unhappy. In any event, this is a path; we need to learn through the possibility of assimilating new knowledge and being open to it.

Today's topic is procrastination. Do you know what procrastination is? It is a behavior of postponing tasks and saying, "I will do it tomorrow," "No, you have to do this," "Oh, but I will do it later." The person begins adopting attitudes of pushing things off; in the future, they end up failing to complete them and become overloaded with internal commitments, which makes life more difficult. Imagine that you have something to do and say, "No, I will do it tomorrow. You can leave it to me; I will do it tomorrow morning, I will do it tomorrow afternoon." Then something else comes up, and you say, "No, I will do it this way; I will do it tomorrow."

This "I will do it tomorrow" never arrives; sometimes it is the day after tomorrow, the following week, or it never happens: that is procrastination. Procrastination is an internal component of ours, a mixture of fear and laziness, because, in the end, the origin of our difficulties lies in fears, which turn into anger, laziness, and bad moods. This is what makes our lives less good. But procrastination hinders our lives; this is serious. It harms not only physical life but spiritual life as well. We cannot forget that when we adopt a physical behavior, it is reflected in other areas and vice versa.

If you are not well spiritually, you will not be well physically. If you are not physically well because of your coexistence and your pursuits, you will not be well spiritually either. Just imagine one thing: most of us do not know happiness. We truly do not; we live through pulses of euphoria. I will give some examples so that you understand what I am saying. You receive a gift, enter a pulse of euphoria, and feel that happiness. No, you are euphoric; happiness is another matter. It is something continuous, a perception of life, an understanding of everything around us. Euphoria is different: euphoria is rooting for a team, becoming euphoric if it wins, and becoming depressed if it does not.

Human beings keep sabotaging their own lives because of the fears they accumulate, disguising the lies they tell themselves. As this accumulates, life after life, the lies become truths. The truths hardly ever cease to be lies because one cannot change them. You accept something, practice it repeatedly, and it turns into a truth for you. It may not be a real truth at all and may not represent balance, but it is what will operate within you. In this way, what you are doing to yourself is sabotaging your entire continuity.

Procrastination is a way of sabotaging one's own life. It affects everything, including relationships. When someone is in a romantic relationship, things eventually go wrong and the person continues procrastinating, wasting their own life and causing the other person to waste theirs. In the end, it will be necessary to take an action that could have been taken earlier, resolving the situation and allowing both people to live in happiness and good humor.

Our relationships can be resolved very well. We should not leave them behind and say, "I do not want to." The difficulty we have is brought by fears, and fear is what prevents us from being enlightened. We are ignorant. Being ignorant means not having knowledge of things, not having enlightenment, not dealing well with changes, not dealing well with new things or learning; everything that departs from the script we learned is wrong.

How can you tell someone the truth if you lack the competence to use suitable rhetoric and the person lacks the competence to hear what you will say? It is therefore better to continue along the path of error. Procrastination is also founded on our ignorance, in addition to our fears. It is an immense package. I think we should resolve issues. We have something to do; let us act, because we do not know how long we will live. When we postpone, we ultimately fail to fulfill what we should. This is not only about us: when physical life ends, we should consider that we can leave everything well or everything badly for those who remain. I believe it is better to leave everything well.

Procrastination is terrible; it hinders life because we never do what we should. Within a person, procrastination emerges as a response to their fear. You usually say, "Leave it until tomorrow, and I will do it." What does this phrase conceal? Or you say, "I will do it later." You could act at that moment, but you push the task forward. It is therefore a way to avoid anguish.

The only thing is that when we take an attitude like this, we place an unresolved matter in our internal file. Pay attention: you create a pending matter because you did not do it, and you will have to do it. A little drop, an element of tension, remains within you. This is not a good idea. You keep postponing things and saying: I will do this later, I will do that later, I will do something else later. You accumulate all of this within yourself and file away a great many unresolved internal matters, which create a level of tension that truly is not good. Your health will worsen, you will become increasingly overloaded with uncompleted tasks, and perhaps you will never do them, which is the worst part.

This is not a good idea; it would be helpful for people who procrastinate to seek guidance on the subject. Understand the term "procrastination," because it truly does not help our lives; on the contrary, it hinders them. It is therefore important to review our habits: why do we push things off, why do we remove them from our lives? By setting them aside, we stop doing more pleasurable activities. The inner murmur of procrastination hinders your entire life, harming social, family, and professional relationships. In the spiritual realm, imagine the type of spirit near you when you procrastinate. These spirits also have fear and apprehension, and many of them cannot see the spiritual world, seeing the physical world much more clearly. But this is indeed possible.

Some spirits see the spiritual world, while others see only the physical world because they are at such a dense level that they continue doing the same things they did when they had a physical body. A spirit may not have accepted death; it may not even know that it died. Whom does it see? It sees its entire family. If you are a sibling, uncle, aunt, or relative, it sees you. If you procrastinate, it was also a card-carrying procrastinator, as are several who return to be near you, the spirits of friends and acquaintances. The result is that a fellowship of procrastinators can form because the spiritual world is the same as the physical world.

It is a good idea to check whether people in your family procrastinate and act this way because if someone provides this example, the next person imitates it without knowing. Thus, if the father is this way, the child ends up being this way without really knowing it. The subject of procrastination is serious, and your life can improve if you pay more attention to it. A place with many trees, such as St. Damian Farm, is important, and should be capable of sustaining itself: a very large orchard, a vegetable garden, walkways, and two smaller lakes, which are places for rest. Nature predominates there. There is also a road made entirely of stones. The work performed can be very enjoyable; we like it very much. We work, and at the end of the day, we play volleyball, rest, talk, play the guitar, and go for a walk.

It is very good and healthy, and perhaps this is the ideal life for all of us: being able to work, walk barefoot, and have contact with nature instead of imprisoning our lives in concrete buildings. We live in São Paulo, and there is no way to put a foot on the earth unless we go to a flowerbed where soil has been spread to fertilize the plants. There is no longer direct access to the earth; this complicates the situation. It is healthier to go to the countryside, although the countryside is becoming increasingly full of buildings. We would need to pay more attention to this. Governors and mayors could act: if they cut down a tree, they plant another.

Or more than that: help this planet remain balanced. We continue deforesting, believing there is progress, but we are destroying the planet, which is becoming bald. And we say, "No, but I will go to the countryside." Soon, there will no longer be any countryside to go to. Then the situation becomes complicated. The path we are following is a path of enlightenment that requires effort. It is not something so simple; I only want pleasure. I think pleasure is relative. You experience pleasure when you do things you believe you like, while things that are not pleasurable, which enter the space of displeasure, represent a tiring work activity. If work is pleasurable, it will no longer be necessary to take vacations. Everything you do will be pleasurable. I believe our lives should be this way.

Laying on of hands is practiced throughout the world. Our lives will be happier when we raise a hand for all our fellow human beings. Or rather, when everyone raises a hand for everyone.
