Summary
When we are near someone, auric coupling tends to balance our vitality levels: the person with more vitality transfers energy to the one who is out of balance. Our thoughts, feelings, emotions, behaviors, and activities determine the quality of the spirits around us; anger, resentment, and revenge attract similar company, while forgiveness, dialogue, and positive actions make for a happier path. We also bring harassers and obsessing spirits with us from other lives, because we inherit the consequences of our own actions. Elevating our thoughts, circulating energy, and making the chakras resonate are forms of psychic self-defense. During sleep, the astral body separates from the physical body, allowing contact with helpers or harassers; in the latter case, we wake up with fatigue, aches, and difficulty concentrating.

The person asks: if you sleep near someone who is unwell, full of conflict, depressed, experiencing emotional difficulties, or carrying unresolved issues, can there be any energetic harm? I will answer because I consider this important. When we are near another person, we engage in what we call auric coupling: your aura tends to touch the other person's aura, and energy is transferred. Suppose that you are very happy, cheerful, and vitalized and approach someone who is devitalized. The tendency is for the devitalized person to feel better while you feel a little worse. In mathematical terms, if your vitality is 10 and the other person's is 5, after remaining close for some time, in the end they will have 7.5.
Adding the two vitality levels gives a total of 15; the other person would have 7.5, would feel very well, and would think you were wonderful, and you would also have 7.5. The result is that you would not find it pleasant to be near them. This person vampirized my energies. Everything in the universe tends toward equilibrium, and one of the fundamental things in the universe is the energies that exist within it and tend to reach equilibrium. When you are near an unbalanced person, you compensate for those energies to balance the environment—in other words, you lose energy. That is what happens.
If you sleep beside a person whose behaviors are absolutely negative, this unbalances you energetically. Imagine that the person drinks, smokes, is always nervous, is aggressive or very passive, or is depressed. All of these energies will affect you. If you ask whether there is any harm, the answer is yes, certainly.
We should seek to live with healthy people because contact with people who are not healthy can harm us. For example, people who work in environments that are imbalanced by their very nature, where there is a great deal of suffering and emotional difficulty, tend to develop depression. People who care for patients who are ill or have mental or emotional problems often overeat, gain weight, become obese and depressed, and face family conflicts. This occurs because they are exposed to a type of depleted energy that is not healthy; they lose a great deal of energy and try to compensate for it with food.
There is also the difficulty caused by the spirits that accompany people who are not doing well. If you are not doing well, the spirits beside you are certainly not spirits of light; they are consciousnesses whose level of difficulty is more or less the same as yours. It is a major mistake to think that we can be doing very poorly while luminous spirits are nearby. No. When we are accompanied by spiritual helpers, by spirits of light, we are well vitalized, smiling, happy, and filled with a strong desire to act because we are motivated. This is the reality. We cannot create convenient forms of logic to explain situations we are unable to face. Is there harm? Yes, there is.
I am going to discuss a very important subject: how we attract lower spirits. What surrounds us reflects what we are. The answer is simple: whatever is close to each of us is what we are. Your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors are fundamental to following a happier path. This is extremely important.
When you have bad thoughts and do wrong things, you can be certain that the spirits you attract will be of the same quality. We do not do wrong things and attract good things into our lives. You may even think we do, but everything has its time. So look at what you are doing as well, is that not true? Thoughts of the worst quality arise when a person remains in negative inner dialogue all the time, thinking destructive things and thoughts of revenge, considering how to destroy someone else and put their anger into practice with maximum efficiency because they are angry with the other person because they themselves did not have the courage to take a position in a situation and say what they felt; they remain angry with the other person and repeat to themselves everything that should have been said to that person.
Think about this so that you can stop being an angry person full of resentment, because this will attract more unhappiness. A carefree person who tries to forgive others and leave matters on a calmer footing will live more happily. People make mistakes; when someone makes a mistake, it is sometimes because they do not know. They may make a mistake out of cruelty, but most people make mistakes out of ignorance. If you say someone is selfish, they are selfish because they are ignorant. Most of the time, we make mistakes out of ignorance because, if we knew what happens on the spiritual plane when we do something bad to another person, even in thought, we would not do it. We should stop judging others, acting coherently, with common sense and maturity, because this is the path to happiness.
So how do we attract lower spirits? Through what we are, the things we do, what we cultivate daily, our thoughts, our ideas, and our activities. Therefore, engage in happy and positive activities, avoid anger toward others, and talk. When there is something to resolve with someone, go to them, talk, resolve it, open yourself up, and put your feelings into what you are doing. This is very important because we often act without realizing that certain attitudes can produce negative results.
And now let us turn to another question: do we bring harassers and obsessor spirits from other lives? You inherit what you do in every life. Thus, when we act against someone, imagine that when you physically offend a person, relatives, spiritual friends, and countless spirits are around them observing what you are doing. Countless spirits are also beside you and do not agree with your negative attitudes; as you accumulate those attitudes, some spirit rejects them and opposes you.
I will share something that happens to me: when some people are near me, they like what I have developed and the work I perform; the spirits praise this work, some ask questions and come closer, and the environment becomes pleasant. There are also people who, although they like me or live with me, do not approve of certain attitudes I have taken. Or they think, for example: "You should not have done that" or "You should not have said that." I often tell someone that they need to have a calmer attitude, but that person is unable to forgive.
The spirits near that person become very angry with me and use every kind of profanity; it is even unpleasant to say this. They utter the kinds of insults you can imagine. Some manifest as though they were physical. This happens. You ask: what should be done? Whenever I see an extra-physical confrontation, I try to elevate my thoughts, circulate my energies, and reverberate my chakras to create psychic self-defense. Everyone can learn this. Some people truly feel and report, "I feel something touching me; I hear the person speaking profanity, insults, and disagreements," which is very unpleasant. Sometimes, while watching television, I feel someone sitting beside me on the couch.
We need to stop considering physical life as the only limit and understand that our existence is multidimensional. We came from the spiritual world; our origin is spiritual. Therefore, yes, we bring harassers from other lives. We are capable of mistreating others, and we are very good at it. Imagine the people of the Inquisition one hundred or two hundred years ago, who considered themselves wonderful but ordered people to be beheaded, burned, and tortured. Human beings truly take a long time to learn.
When these people return with deformities—with physical or sensory difficulties, blindness, hearing loss, or any kind of heart defect—or are already born that way, it is necessary to study spirituality more. We are our own heirs, and nothing happens by chance. We produce consequences in the body, in life, and in the spirit according to what we do.
You often do not need to be doing wrong things to create a spiritual deformity. It is enough to work far too much, to excess, and live with very sick people, and you may experience harmful consequences. But certainly, dozens or hundreds of years ago, we already did many wrong things. Human beings are good at that. So yes, we bring harassers and obsessor spirits with us.
When this happens, your life becomes very difficult because you feel these presences. Normally, consciousnesses that have not reincarnated for one hundred to two hundred years have a very large burden and a great deal of somatization. They are able to produce physical effects and much more. Fortunately, this does not happen often. If it did, it would be difficult, but it can happen. Interference from lower spirits in dreams? Yes. In fact, anyone who saw the film "The Sixth Sense" remembers the moment when the little boy speaks to the psychologist who cared for him and did not know that he was dead. The psychologist had been murdered but treated the boy as though he himself were still alive. Then the boy tells him, "I know how you can talk to your wife in dreams."
Exactly, because when you lie down, your astral body detaches from the physical body, and you then gain access to the spiritual world, to your origin. At that moment, you may have contact with all your deceased relatives and with spiritual helpers, but also with harassers. If there is contact with spiritual harassers, look at what happens: you wake up tired, almost as though you had been beaten, you feel back pain and a headache, and you cannot maintain concentration. It is good to pay attention to this because what we do leads us to have companions who are sometimes unwanted. Can there be interference from lower spirits in dreams? Yes, there can.
