Summary

Two times of day are ideal for working with the energies of nature. At dawn, when prana is at its maximum power, deep breathing activates the chakras and revitalizes; to see results, it is important to practice it regularly. At the end of the day, when the energies begin to calm down, meditation accompanied by breathing helps release worries, closing the mental workday, and prepares the body for restorative sleep. The practice is completed with gratitude for life and for the opportunity to have a physical body that allows us to do good things.

Two times of day are ideal for working with the energies of nature. The first is at dawn, when all the forces are most active. At that moment, prana—universal cosmic energy—is at its maximum power. Doing an energization practice at sunrise is highly beneficial, because the sun activates all the energies and vital globules that surround the planet in the area it touches.

A physician friend asked me how he could revitalize himself. I recommended that he wake up early and practice deep breathing daily. This is more effective than any medication or energizer. I learned to practice yoga with my father's guidance. It is important to commit and to carry out the practice regularly in order to see results. He accepted the challenge and, after a month of daily practice, reported that he was already feeling a strong surge of energy after two weeks. Working in health care, where the wear is high, this practice was an excellent recovery for him, thanks to the energies of the beginning of the day.

At the end of the day, when the energies begin to calm down, it is equally important to practice suitable exercises. In the morning, revitalizing breathing activates all the chakras and energies. At night, meditation is essential to prepare the body for restorative sleep, helping one to rest and to wake up invigorated. This is the moment when the sun rests, and we should do the same. Nighttime meditation, accompanied by breathing, helps release the worries of the day, closing the mental workday.

I do the breathing every day when I wake up, and now I am going to do a meditation practice. I believe that we should do what we preach. Even with health challenges, this practice allows me to remain productive and to help the people around me. Complementing morning breathing and meditation with gratitude for life is fundamental. Give thanks for the opportunity to have a physical body, which allows us to do good things. Doing evil is an incalculable waste of time. Therefore, be grateful.
